Troy, Michigan – Enqbator, a leading digital solutions agency, has once again been recognized for their excellence in website design, development, and user experience by The Horizon Interactive Awards.

For the calendar year 2023, Enqbator received recognition for its work in website design, hosting, and usability for two Michigan-based clients.

The Michigan Association of School boards and Sturgis Bank, both headquartered in Michigan, took home HIA recognition honors for 2023.

The 22nd annual competition received over 500 entries from around the world including 26 out of 50 US States and 16 other countries including: Australia, Canada, Columbia, Mexico, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Philippines, Portugal, Spain, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Turkey and the UK.

An international panel of judges, consisting of industry professionals with diverse backgrounds evaluated nearly 60 categories spanning multiple media types including: web sites, mobile applications, print media, interactive displays, public exhibits, online advertising, video, email and more. The 2023 winning entries showcase the industry’s best interactive media solutions from some of the top agencies, designers, producers, and developers all over the globe.

“This year’s competition was just awesome.” said Mike Sauce, Founder of the Horizon Interactive Awards. “In aggregate, we saw so many entries that were starting to integrate new forms of technology, including AI, into their web sites, advertising and other media in clever and unique ways that continue to connect users and customers to experiences and brands,” Sauce said.

“Hat’s off to everyone in this year’s competition. It was truly a competition that highlights the best that is being produced by digital designers and creators all over the world,” he added.

This honor recognizes the exceptional work done by the collective teams involved, and Enqbator congratulates each organization for this great accomplishment.

MICHIGAN ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL BOARDS (MASB)

Silver Award for Website Design in the Schools / Universities Category

MASB’s leadership and administrative staff and Enqbator’s design and development teams worked closely to produce multiple solutions to address all outstanding needs. The MASB and Enqbator collaboration led to a rewarding experience and a successful project relaunch. Utilizing the power of Progress Sitefinity, along with the most modern UX and UI techniques and technologies, Enqbator was able to implement an effective and easy-to-manage solution.

The fresh contemporary design simplified the way users found the information they needed across both mobile and desktop devices. In addition to the UX and design elements, the website was re-platformed to the modern and industry-leading Progress Sitefinity content management and digital experience system.

This upgrade allowed website administrators the ability to create, edit and manage all aspects of the MASB’s website content more easily and more quickly, using technology such as Personalization Workflows. Also, the MASB website now utilizes a secure and efficient Single Sign On (SSO) process that coordinates with the MASB’s existing Member Portal.

So, not only is the public able to benefit from the front-end usability and design features of the new site, but the members were also provided with a safer, more secure, and streamlined experience.

STURGIS BANK INTRANET

Bronze Award for Website Design in the Banks / Finance Category

Sturgis Bank and Trust, serving multiple communities in Southwest Michigan, prides itself on its values of honesty, excellence, and teamwork, to make banking easier for everyone in its community through personal and friendly service.

Sturgis Banks’ main goal was to create a centralized place for all staff members across the company to quickly find the tools, forms, and other information necessary for their job duties. To accomplish these goals, the employees of Sturgis needed an efficient way to access internal documents and information and needed an up-to-date intranet to facilitate these efforts.

With help from the team at Enqbator, the Sturgis Bank Intranet was reimagined. The entire website was upgraded and improved, from its overall design and search functionality to a new layout and a more intuitive and easy-to-use navigation structure. Improvements were also put into place to increase usability across all web browsers and all devices.

All efforts from the Sturgis and Enqbator teams resulted in a completely transformed visual design and greatly improved user experience. The newly installed CMS (Content Management System) now allows ease of content management and allows the intranet to be more easily and more efficiently maintained and updated.
